Often times we need to separate a hen that has been handled to rough by the rooster and she needs to recuperate than an electric enclosure to keep her separate yet still visible to the others and secure from the rooster's attention.
Or, a chicken is ill, or you have a new addition to your flock this fence is the perfect solution for so many things. Your garden bed needs protection from your chickens or other wild thieves.
These poultry netting are fantastic if you have to keep them off the road for instance or from your new dog that still has to learn the flock is not food! The uses are endless, especially, that it is mobile and you can provide your chickens with a new grass area whenever the need arises.
They are very easy to install and knowing that your pets are safe from predators is a life changer. No more worries and we can sleep in peace even at night. You can even put a make shift coop inside the fence for weather changes and just in case for layers inside the fence any box will do until she gets back to her old coop. But if you have an extra shed or cupboard you can use that. It is always a good idea to have something, even temporarily, on wheels, since you might have to move the fence to a new area for fresh grass.
The fence works simply by touch, if any animal is in contact with its body it will receive an uncomfortable shock and won't do that again. You might have experience one yourself visiting a friend on a farm or as I have wallpapering and got to close to the outlet. Vavavavoom. Needless to say, I have never done that again, so rest assured neither will your pet or any predator.

One time I watched literally a black bear in Umatilla, Florida, touching an electric horse fence about 20 feet or more away from us and he went jumping back at least 15 feet or so in one jump landing against an RV, tumbling and ripping off the gas tank on the back. He was not happy. But watching it, boy did we have a good laugh for years and still. I know stuff got damaged but it was so funny watching him salto mortale into the RV. Starkline Poultry Netting assembly is quicker and easier than conventional electric fencing. Periodically moving the enclosure means your chickens will not completely wear out one area. Chickens need "clean" grass and dirt to maintain their hygiene. Access to fresh grass allows chickens to clear out many unwanted pests such as ticks, ladybugs, and mice!
Notes:
Use only Low Impedance energizers on netting. Adequate grounding is very important to the success of the electric fence system. If you're not getting consistent voltage on the fence, try pouring a bucket of water on and around your ground rod.
